FLAME ARRESTORS
Combustion Research Associates manufactures many safety devices for gas applications. Flame arrester is an important member of safety equipments family.
Flame arrester is used for preventing flash back in the process lines, fuel lines, storage tanks having potential risk of accidental flame flash back.
Combustion Research Associates manufactures INLINE and END OF LINE flame deflagration arresters and IN LINE detonation arrestors for all general, specific and customized requirement of the Industry.
Operation Type : Detonation arrestors are also available for the critical applications of detonation.

Other/Higher sizes available on request
Pressure Rating : Standard 5- 10 bar
High-pressure ratings available on request.
OPERATION
Flame arresters block the propagation of flame by quenching the flame passing through it. The heat of flame is absorbed by the flame element where very high surface area is provided for immediate heat transfer.
It has no moving parts and the custom designed flame element gives the necessary protection from flame flash back. Where as the flame propagation is blocked through the flame elements, the gases can pass through them easily having minimum pressure drop. This is ensured by having large flow area available to gases in the flame bank.
